Some foreign markets are closed this coming Monday. UK, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Austria, Switzerland... possibly more. I'm looking for a complete list.

Yes, but the Nikkei is opened..recovery mode, also US Dollar is overbought near-term

http://www.dailyfx.com/story/dailyfx...tml... ...key Although FOMC minutes will play a part in price action, the contribution is seen as quite minimal as policy makers have been rather transparent lately on any near term rate cuts. Subsequently, consensus estimates are looking once again for six-figure employment growth and stable expansion in the world’s largest economy. These reports, should they be to the downside, will definitively overshadow the rest of the week’s docket, spelling disaster for the US dollar

According to Bloomberg, the US Dollar is not expected to slip very much They think there is an underestimated strength in the economy. They reasoned that the housing market will not be the bane it has been made out to be. If oil looks good, and the political scene is quiet....I'd say it was going to be another good day. Question is ....where do I put my money for tomorrow? I expect some profit taking overseas, but that will probably be postponed if the American ED is good today.

I'm thinking that C and I lstill ook good....if only I could figure out the allocation.

Where are you headed in the markets today?

Not much on the docket for tomorrow, but Thursday is loaded; GDP, Jobless claims, Construction Spending, NAPM. IMHO there will be profit taking tomorrow and Thursday will be green. 12%?

IMO....I am locking profits today. Went to the F Fund for sideline action. My concern, like I mentioned in 350z's site is China. Everyone seems to think that Greenspan and Goldman Sach's comments are useless. I differ on that. Once China falls....it will not be pretty. I know that I am in the I Fund today, but its a huge gamble. Let's face it...everyday in the market is a huge gamble, but I try to play it smart. It is all an educated guess and playing %s. All these charts that are posted, are good to a point. Any curveball will kill any chart or techinal points. Anyway, Gl

Thanks 12%. I am following your lead. I don't know why but things look comfortably good today...and that's usually when the that random deviation pokes you in the eye...I feel like things are about to go way up again or way down....just can't quite shake it..

one word..Hamptons......many money managers will be locking the profits into any green they see. They are afraid of the China meltdown. They are going to be on vacation...Hamptons. This is the time of year, where you will start to see volume dryup. So the swings will be wild. Last year, it worked to the bull's side, this year might be a different story. I still will be in equities, but hobo style....jumping on and off moving trains. I will be watching....

Re: 350Z's 2007 I Fund Thread
I am locking all profs. today and sidelining. Went to the F Fund. Looking for a sell-off tomorrow. Safety is the key. F Fund is the cheapest way to gamble. Small gain or small loss=the F Fund..Still worried about China. Everyone is just ignoring the fact that it is frothy to say the least. You could stick those charts in the barrel,if/when China goes.

Look at this morning.....plain awful....I know how these sharks work on Wall Street. They were selling into it and locks profits. The Hedge Funds were shorting QQQQs on that lift early morning. China is still way overpriced and the selling can/will continue because of PANIC/MANIA. They are not used to seeing these kind of drops and they are bad gamblers....They will pull money out.
