I don't care that the World Health Organization says bacon causes cancer.

I'm eating it anyway.




The World Health Organization may be about to make itself a lot of enemies, especially among carnivores.


To the gastronomic horror of many, The Daily Mail reported this week that the WHO is set to list beef, bacon and sausage alongside cigarettes and asbestos as cancer causing agents. Although red meat has long been linked to a list of ailments, the publication said the health body is expected to go further than most scientific studies, by saying processed meat actually causes cancer.


According to the report, the decision is due on Monday, and comes on the heels of a meeting of scientists from ten different countries that reviewed a broad array of data.
A representative for the organization, contacted on Saturday by CNBC, declined to comment, saying the WHO's full report would be available on Monday.

Yeah James, this has been a discussion at work too. One person even mentioned it during a meeting. We thought at first it was to lighten things up but that person was very sincere. We were polite and said thanks.

Later in the week I felt hunger and when the food truck showed up went to get something. There was a lot of discussion going on there about carcinogens and the person taking orders was asked if they had anything with tofu or soy beans. The person taking orders advised not to eat that as “it will turn you in to a woman”. So I got bacon, potatoes, egg and cheese stuffed flour tortilla. I am still alive after that!:laugh:

Curious about all the banter I looked up soy beans and found some studies find they contain substances grouped together as phytoestrogens which can cause the estrogen level in the human body to rise. Soy beans are touted as “the” healthy food source to conquer the world’s hunger problems.

Who is WHO to decide this? I think you stated at some time your current viewpoints are the result of some epiphany earlier in your life where you found the left was right. Based on that how can you state you will not immediately stop eating all beef, bacon and sausage due to your beliefs?:suspicious:

WHO wants us to stop eating the above and recommends soy. I think there is a conspiracy here to ultimately control who has progeny. Probably only members of WHO who likely avoid soy beans.:worried:

Maybe I don't fall for the Soy because Monsanto corners the market on Soy beans.

I have always found it intriguing that Monsanto who provides the seeds also has provided the pesticides and was very much involved in the miracle product asbestos.

You still haven’t justified how you can continue to eat bacon after a big world agency has declared you will die soon. I thought you were for more government involvement in protecting us sheeple.

Everything can potentially cause cancer depending on dosage and concentration. For example black pepper in a ridiculous concentration was injected into rats and they got cancer. My pillow could give me cancer too because I love my bed lol :lmao:
