Why is newsfeeder showing in the quick list at top again?

For some reason, the newsfeeder is once again clogging the quick list at the top of the page...

How do I remove it?

I activated again and unfortunately, it can't be remove individually. I noticed that I was actually missing some headlines I would have liked to have seen.

It creates 1 or 2 posts max, once every four hours at most. So the only time it would 'clog' the list is when the forum is slow post-wise, and this gives us something to read.

I don't know... I kind of like it, but if everyone hates it...

I'm sure if we took a poll, only those who are bugged by it would bother to reply.

Yeah, who needs to clog up a TSP forum with financial news headlines when they're getting in the way of the Name Game, Music Videos, The Movie Game, Celebrity RIP, Politics, etc.... he says, sarcastically.

I like them... but I'm listening.

By the way, I have reduced them to 1 headline every six hours. Maybe that won't be as intrusive?

I don't mind NR posting every 4 hours, I thought it was a good compromise. Coffee talk is fine, but the true purpose of this site is for TSP, IMHO posting news stories falls inline with the overall purpose of this forum. I drudge the news several times daily, so I don't need NR, but it has pointed out stories I wasn't informed of, so although I did once loath it, I've given it a second reprieve.

Great point, some of those stories should result in discussion, I think we (the forum) tend not to comment on them because they don't come from a person, or perhaps we think it will end up going political, then get removed once the next azzhat goes too far with it.

How about a compromise, can we keep the 4-hour thing, but increase the default stats from 20 to 30, or can you give us the option to change the default number ourselves? I want mine to always say 50, so I don't have to go digging around so much.

Good suggestion. And thanks, I now know how to increase the list to 30 or 50. My opinion, I dig the news feeds. And as a guilty azzhat (at times ) I'll be on better behavior....
