Why is Chrysler part of the bailout?

I guess I shouldn't be suprised, but this is so obvious, that I wonder what committee head is on the take or just plain dim witted. This is an obvious abuse of our tax dollars, although the other bailouts were also IMHO, but they just didn't seem so open and blatant as this.
