What is classified as a contribution?

Hello,

For 2011 you can put a max of $16,500 into your individual TSP account. Do the agency matching contributions count towards the yearly max? Also I have a small loan out against my account. Do the payments going back into my account count towards my yearly contributions? If these things do count towards my yearly max amount I'll be close to maxing it out and next year I will for sure.

Agency contributions do NOT count toward the $16,500. The payments to your loan do NOT count toward the $16,500 either.
The $635 club is a good thing. I've been a member for just over a year now... no looking back!!
