Warning! Flashlight App Cyber Crimes

I'm happy to say I am NOT that much of a Techie. Crooks, where is the FCC?

A friend of mine sent me this in an email and I started to watch it but then realized that this "Special Report" didn't have any news affiliation so I became suspicious. According to this article, the makers of this "Special Report" have their own "safe" version of a flashlight available for a fee...............................

No, Your iPhone Flashlight is NOT Spying On You

Good catch. I didn't even notice that Bret Baier was doing this in what looked like his regular Special Report news studio, but there was no FoxNews logo. It was posted on his youtube page though, and while I trust Bret Baier, this was unusual. But I don't recall them trying to sell anything. What was the motive? I guess I should watch it again.

Ah, ha!...

The security company in the news report has a free flashlight app in the Google Play store, and it’s called “Privacy Flashlight.” They also have Android security software that you can install. And, of course, you can pay for more features.

So this is a sales pitch to get us to buy their app. But I have an honest question...

Are they being honest or not with the claims they make in the sales pitch?

Are there security issues or not with the other flashlight apps?
