USAA IRA Watch

I've started looking closely at USAA IRA Funds and what the news at Barchart.com says. As of this weekend there are a few funds that are 100% buys short, medium and long term:

USSCX http://quotes.barchart.com/texpert.asp?sym=USSCX
USAUX http://quotes.barchart.com/texpert.asp?sym=USAUX
USAAX http://quotes.barchart.com/texpert.asp?sym=USAAX
USNQX http://quotes.barchart.com/texpert.asp?sym=USNQX

I'm not sure if this is a help to anyone but as long as I'm looking I thought I'd post the top ones where all the stars seem to be lining up the best. I'm still learning the correlations/meaning of Hilo Channels, Moving Averages etc.. Thought I would Six Sigma and try to reduce my own investing errors. Happy hunting....:D

John, what do you mean by "100% buys." Are you (or Barchart) just suggesting they are getting good reviews and look like opportunities? Or by 100% buy do you mean no-load.

I am also on the prowl for independent reviews of Roth IRAs and their managing companies. My wife and I both have Roths and Mutual Funds with USAA, but we got them simply because we do all our banking with USAA, not necessarily because of performance or reviews. I'm interested to see how USAA funds fare in independent reviews.

If anyone knows a good source for independent Roth IRA and fund reviews, I'd certainly be interested. I'm going to check out AAII later today, after the cybernazis lift their site restriction blackout. (What, do they expect me to work ALL day?) ;)

Anthony,

What I found was that you could use Barchart.com to analyze all USAA Funds.

What I also found was that you need to use a sentiment survey approach when looking the analysis. USSCX is at a 100% Buy short, medium and long term. This is usually followed by a drop.

I'm seriously no expert in this but the information provided does help. I do a comparison of funds once a week and make a decision where to go. It's all risk but by doing it this way I'm doing much better than I did before.

Hope this helps,

John
