Update: SITE MAY GO DOWN THIS MORNING

Did anyone notice any issues with the forum this morning? I was on and off a few times but didn't think to look for a slowdown, but I don't think I remember it being sluggish. Anyone?

Thanks

It seems to be running nicely. I've been on pretty much all morning.

Update from the techs:

As confirmed I added some extra monitoring for your servers (you can find details below) and was checking the servers' status during the peak time;Here's what I found:

- The load is caused by tsptalk2 server, while tsptalk3 was not loaded at all and was underused
- I did see increase in the number of requests coming to the web server (up to 2000+ TCP connects half of which to memcached)
- There wasn't any excessive load on the DB and no queries were hanging but the CPU usage was at 100% during the whole time

From all the info I gathered it seemed like you simply need more CPU power;I rebooted the box and added 3 extra CPUs to it for a total of 4 CPUs;

Sounds promising.

THE SITE MAY GO DOWN THIS MORNING.

Because of the high traffic near the IFT deadline each morning, our techs want to add temporary monitoring software to the servers to see where the bottleneck is. To do this, they will have to reboot the servers. We could experience some down time. Sorry for any inconvenience.
