It's always extremes that are used as examples. "largest storm in 80 years", "a once in 5,000 year drought", "a perfect storm of events". Now they're going to pay for it because they never planned ahead.

Why not just admit renewable energy right now as we know it is not going to replace oil/gas/coal/nuclear?
