TSP Talk Weekly Wrap UP

This week stocks slowed the recent momentum built up in March. They were up on Wednesday after the two day sell off of last week's job report gains. This didn't last any longer as stocks were down all day on Thursday and gap up at Friday's open was followed by a fade down for the rest of the day.

The F-fund led while the S-fund lagged.

Here are the weekly, monthly, and annual TSP fund returns for the week ending April 8th:

A top may be forming for the SPY (S&P 500 / C-fund) but the index does have support below from average lines and the closing price of 2015. The index has fallen out of the March trading channel and is struggling to make its next move. The C-fund was down 1.15% for the week.

Despite lagging the TSP funds this week, the Dow Completion Index (S-fund) found support from the risings support line of the trading channel created in March. This support line is coupled with the index's 20-day EMA while the 200-day EMA is entering the trading channel to threaten upward movement. The S-fund was down 1.34% this week.

EFA (EAFE Index / I-fund) led the TSP stock funds for the week with a slight gain of 0.08%. The index's current price is sitting between two open gaps so its a coin flip as to where things will go Monday. EFA produced some positive action Wednesday as it filled the gap produced at Tuesday's open.
