Best Return for February
February provided more opportunity for TSP participants to wring out returns from this market. The C-fund price rose 5.34% through the month only to be in the shadow of the S-fund's 6.03% return. Five TSP Talk AutoTracker members were able to get even more out of February. These five members stood out among the hundreds of other TSP Talk AutoTracker members, but one was an outlier among them.
February's TSP Talk AutoTracker monthly contest winner is MRJ, and they did it by accumulating an 8.21% gain through the month. Second place Hawgjo's return was 6.54%, impressive, but 1.67% lower than MRJ's return.
MRJ used two IFTs in February and timed the S-fund to accomplish this remarkable return. MRJ was holding 100% S-fund coming into February, moved to 100% G-fund (cash) on February 12th right when the small cap market reached its early peak for February, and then MRJ rebought 100% S-fund after a three day pull back in mid-February just in time for the market to reclaim its footing and rise through the last part of the month.

Best Return for the Week
Among those top five February AutoTraker winners is also last week's best IFT. TSP Talk AutoTracker member Rbizz outperformed all other members for the week with a 2.49% gain. Rbizz came into the week holding 100% S-fund and moved to the 100% C-fund on Tuesday. The S-fund was the only TSP fund to have a positive return on Monday, and then it was outperforming at the TSP trade deadline on Tuesday. This was when Rbizz moved to the C-fund which went on to outperform the S-fund for the final three days of the week.
