TSP Talk Travel Mug - My Classified Ads Test

16 oz. GoCup Travel Tumblers - BPA Free Polypropylene

I am starting this new Classifieds area and as my first test I'm selling a Travel Mug to see how it goes.

If all goes well, all members will be able to buy and sell items here. I certainly trust this community more than using my local classifieds or even ebay. I assume there will be some sort of feedback system once transactions are concluded.

Thanks! So, who wants to be the guinea pig and buy the first item?

Tom

woo hoooo! that'd be me!

i just placed the order and all went well (don't leave a space between the sets of 4#'s in the credit card or it will tell you it's invalid, now i've had invalid credit cards before but not any that i'd use for tsptalk so i knew that wasn't the problem).

i put shipping address as dreamboatannie because i owe her a mug for my sock monkeys. she'll have to get with you by pm for the rest of that transaction.

thanks.

Thanks burro! Will you let dreamboatannie know and ask her to PM me her address?

But first, I have to check all the backend stuff to see if the process and payment worked.

done and doner.

the only problem i see with your original post is the 'browse for more stuff' button takes me to the marketplace, but there is no more stuff for sale.

when are you going to get some of those cool embroidered hats, the all cloth kind not the kind with the mesh and plastic straps in the back?

thanks again.

I will probably put stuff out there, but this is more for members to buy and sell between themselves.

As the sign in my gallery says... we buy junk and sell antiques. :) I'm sure we all have things we'd like to get rid of, which would be a treasure to someone else.

OK. It looks like the payment comes from the marketplace software company so when you sell something, your PayPal account is credited with a payment from "Panjo". It could take a little time as they say they have been sending the payments once per day, although they are in the process of enhancing that.

PayPal does not take a fee but it looks like Panjo takes 3%. I will try to get more details on the fee schedule - i.e., if it's based on price etc., like Ebay.

It also has the ability for me to take a fee, but I'm not going to do that at this time. Maybe someday if this Classifieds area becomes the next ebay.

panjo marketplace is where my transaction said it is coming from. shows as pending on my credit card website. what the heck it's only a few bucks right? i bet it all goes through ok.

OK, starting 10/16/13, PayPal will now be the one charging the seller a fee (not Panjo). The fee is 30 cents plus 2.9% of the transaction. More

I will report this once we get fully started, but for now, here are some FAQ's for buyers and sellers... https://panjo.uservoice.com/

Time for me to sell you all some antique fans... Or maybe Atari games. There's gold in the pcbs. I don't think its IRA approved gold... But oh well

Go right ahead and post them. I was going to post some things this weekend. It seems to be working OK.

Just click the "Classifieds" link in main horizontal menu up top. Then choose "Sell an Item" (the blue button.)

some positive feedback for the seller:

thanks tom, great deal on a great mug! and way to go with the flexible shipping options too. i understand the other party received the item and all went well. i got the sock monkey i traded in return today too so thanks dreamboatannie, outstanding work. now i'll have to post some pics of my family of sock monkeys with my family of tsptalk mugs.
