With just three trading days remaining in the year, here are some insights into the top 10 performers as they approach the finish line and the contest prize:
MRJ has a strong lead in 1st place with an accumulated 43.98% return in 2025. They hold 100% S-fund facing the final three days of the year, with an IFT to spare. MRJ was busy this year and used 23 IFTs. Although the S-fund underperformed the C- and I-funds this year, MRJ favored the S-fund in 2025, timing its volatile swings to accumulate their return.
MrBowl is the only other member, aside from MRJ, who holds a better return than the I-fund heading into the final days of the year. Unlike MRJ, MrBowl achieved their 34.79% return using only 4 IFTs. They were not afraid of long stretches in stocks or long stretches in the G-fund. They hold 50% C and 50% S-fund coming into the final days of the year.
ragarm333, a Premium member at TSP Talk, has held their position in 100% I-fund all year. This gives them the third-best return among TSP Talk AutoTracker members.
Sign_Stealer joins MrBowl as a smooth operator in 2025. They also accumulated a top-performing return using only 4 IFTs all year. They hold a return of 32.01% and are 100% S-fund facing the final days of the year.
soupykid spent the year with a strong preference for stocks, with some well-timed moves to the G-fund, but their investing strategy leaned toward active investing (21 IFTs) mixed with varied diversification. soupykid liked to hold multiple TSP funds at a time. Only 6 of their 21 allocations this year were spent in a single fund. They come into the last few days of 2025 holding 50% S and 50% I-fund.
ColonelFur coupled caution with aggressive investing. Like MRJ, they used 23 IFTs in 2025 while spending nearly 30% of the year in 100% G-fund. They are not cautious today, facing the final days of the year holding 100% S-fund.
NtvTxan used a moderate 18 IFTs in 2025 but has been fully invested in stocks over the last three months of the year, using three IFTs to adjust their stock fund holdings. It is not only important when you hold stock funds, but which stock funds you hold. They face the final days of 2025 holding 100% S-fund.
BHRUNIKH is the third member of this top ten who used 23 IFTs this year. They used the G-fund carefully, but aside from a month-long stay in the G-fund, they tended not to be underinvested for long. Instead, BHRUNIKH used all five funds this year, but typically only one at a time. The lone exception was a 50/50 split of the C and I-fund, held for a couple of weeks in August. They hold 100% I-fund in the final days of the year.
rs245 spent the first four months of 2025 in the G-fund. Since then, they have used 5 IFTs, spending most of the second half of the year fully invested in a diversified stock fund position. rs245 is a TSP Talk Plus subscriber and heads into the final days of the year fully invested in stock funds.
FCN1 holds the tenth spot among 2025 AutoTracker returns, using only 7 IFTs all year. However, their position near the top is not completely secure. les2l8 and Zoyx are within 1% of FCN1’s 27.85% return for the year. FCN1 holds 100% S-fund on Monday. les2l8 holds 25% C, 70% S, and 5% I-fund, while Zoyx holds 25% F and 75% I-fund.
It has been a fun year watching these top investors practice their craft in the Last Look Report. I look forward to another year of insight from them and from the rest of our TSP Talk AutoTracker participants.
