The real punk on small business

US small businesses lose out over loan rate
Financial Times

US small businesses are having to pay more to borrow relative to the Federal Reserve’s benchmark rate than at any time in at least a quarter of a century, according to official data from the central bank.

[assuming they get a loan!]
And the administration is still not doing much to listen to Bernanke and the rest of the world about this.

Amazing when small business employs 80% of the workforce and we can't "stimulate" their growth......

It's all part of the PLAN!!

The Administration tried to get funding for small business loan guarantees through Congress. It got punked as "spending", even though there were proposals for how it could be paid for. The SBA out of money for this very popular program.

That should have been passed a year and a half ago, evidentially they have no intention of helping SMALL business the way they should, CUT TAXES, NOPE they raise them, and Stupid health care will put many out of business, I don't see anything being done.:D

It was passed a year and a half ago, it needed to be re-funded. It died instead.

Business taxes on employees should be cut (why do businesses get taxed to hire people?). But those are different from Individual tax rate cuts, which mostly helps only on the consumption side and does not encourage hiring. (only the few and the brave are self-employed and I think they get other breaks - I'm not a specialist in business taxation however)

Our health care system is punked, personally I think it's because for some reason it is based on a health insurance systems that businesses are supposed to pay for. I think the idea of health care insurance is crazy, car insurance is for not getting into an accident and health care insurance is for something you have to spend money on which makes absolutely no sense.

I'm not for nationalized health care. However, all the other countries in the world have a nationalized system and therefore can refuse to pay more than their negotiated top price for any medical product or service. U.S. consumers and industry (through their share of health insurance costs) therefore gets to pay for the extra costs those prices don't cover, and frankly health insurance means another middleman. There has to be a third answer here.

Hears a shot to help small business.

The New Hire Act for 2011

Under this act the minimun wage will be cut $2.00 for new hirers hired in 2011, will go to $1.00 less at 6 months after hire and to minimum wage at one year after hiring date. One stipulation is that an existing employee can't be replaced by a new hire rate. If he is fired one of the new hirers will take his place at minimum wage to offset any monitary gain by the company. This will keep companies from firing employees to get cheaper employees. When the original amount of employees are at minimum wage or higher, then you can hire more new hires at the new rate. This rate may also be extended to a collage kid summer hire system. Where college kids can be hired at the lower rate between May and August and on September 1st they go to minimun wage part time when school starts. They need to make funds for school in the summer.
