Man, 1999-2000 must have been a GREAT time to be actively in the markets!:D

We're not even at HALF of what it was back then!:P

The NAZ jumped about 3,000 points from 1999 to 2000.Do you think wewill see that again anytime soon?

Also, I'd like to hear about how muchany of you made that year... and if you were able to preserve it.

God Bless:^

I didn't track my returns as closely in 1999 as I do now, but my indicators flashed big warning signs in May of 1999 and I got very conservative. I missed some nice gains that year because of that but it kept me out of the market for most of 2000 as well.I actually madeabout 4.5% in 2000 even though the S&P 500 was down almost 10%. 2001 and 2002 were a different story. I bought the dips and got burned.

Tom,

Funny you mentionedthat you jumped back in 2001/2 and lossed out. What are you doing differently now? Did you create a new system to follow so it will not drag you in again. I've heard people say that 2005 could be a - year, I wonder if there is any sign of that in the horizon.

The difference now is that we can make the daily transactions rather than monthly. I don't recall exactly why I was heavily invested then and not more cautious.I still think 2005 couldbe flat but with opportunities to buy and sell dips and rallies. Something we couldn't realistically do then.
