thanksgiving recipies

Well in that case, make a big green salad with lots of fresh salad vegetables-use orange juice as a dressing. Buy a big bag of fresh or frozen broccoli florets (you know, the flowers), stirfry in soysauce and garlic powder in a nostick pan. Get some skinless chicken breasts, put them in a baking dish after spraying wth a no-stick spray, sprinkle commercial mix of herbs and spices (poultry seasoning even), and maybe some canned tomatoes or spaghetti sauce over the chicken (if you do that, add some mushrooms, bell pepper, onion and a bit of red wine or beer, cover with foil and bake in 400 degree oven for an hour+ until done-I figure on 1.5 hours myself, usually. Make some out of the bird boxed stuffing or other sides that you know he won't eat but that you and others would enjoy. If that doesn't suit, then you'll have to go find another rock and try again next year. or wait til someone else feeds you some menu ideas you like better.

Well criminy, it would help if knew what he considered UNhealthy. is turkey unhealthy? what do you fix that he DOES eat a bit of?

so, despite doctors orders and obvious health reasons i have this relative who insists on smoking like a chimney, drinking like a fish, and chuggs sausage like, well like a young man on the wharfs of san francisco. and every thanksgiving i cook a good old fashioned celebration meal but he won't eat much, says it's too unhealthy.

does anybody have a healthy recipe i could slip into the mix and trick him? tofurkey is out, no way he's falling for a 4 pound loaf of regurgitated bean curd. but maybe something with only natural unprocessed vegetables and no fat or salt? tofu is ok if it can be hidden.

thanks.
