To all Veterans,

Please accept my sincere and humbled appreciation for your service. I did not serve in any branch of the military. But there are so many of you that answered the call. The sacrifices of you and your family are greatly appreciated.

To all the Veterans serving and who have served: Thank You ! Without your continued sacrifice and belief in our freedoms we would not be US - the greatest nation on earth.

I get to say thank you to my dad and my uncle-Korean war veterans. As well as my brother and sister who served as well, my brother as 23-year veteran. I was blessed to spend my family time in August with my uncle as well as my parents. Uncle lives 1500 miles away, the parents 1000 miles away. Uncle came to visit his sister while I was visiting the parents. Quality time one on one with my uncle I've always treasured. He told me stories this time of my father's overseas service in Korea that my dad shared with him. My dad has never spoken of his time in Korea in my hearing, ever. A story I learned this year was how NK POWs came back to the pow camp after being released, they were starving and asked for food. they thought our forces would be kinder to them than their own. I gather they were treated decently during their pow time and after as well.
