After a small pause Wednesday following a 5 day rally that added more than $500, or 36%, to the stock price, Tesla shares were on the move again.

This is really looking dot com crazy. Not that it can't be a lot high several years from now, but it's up about 500% this year and how much longer can this run in the short-term?

Amazon imploded during the dot com bubble bursting, and look where it is today.

Amazon also has its hand in nearly every US consumers pocket. When will Tesla start making real money? But enjoy the ride while its here. Bubbles are a great way to make a quick buck as long as you're not the last one to the party.

When will Tesla start making real money?

Like Amazon back in the dot com days when it was an online bookstore, I didn't see the vision that Bezos saw for the company. Similarly Tesla is a car company now, but space and energy may be its future, and others who are smarter than me probably have that vision, and probably see why it will be a dominant force some day rather than an overpriced tech / car company that it appears to be today.
