Tally correction. Nnutt's YTD return was incorrect - 10.8%, instead of 9.93%. He's made so many moves that he outran my spreadsheet.:cheesy:

I was wondering why you track return "after Jan '06"? What is the significance of that date for tracking? Just curious?

Originally, I only intended to track the TSPers who started at the beginning of Jan. As the year went on, a number of people asked me to track themselves or others, so I did. However, I wanted to distinguish between those with a full year return and those whose return only represented a partial year. Those who started in Jan, but not at the beginning of Jan, e.g. S&S and Fivetears, I placed in the full year list. However, I highlighted their returns in red.

Finally, Tom asked me to compare RevShark's return to the other TSPers returns. Hence, the second report.

Kind of just evolved.:cheesy:

(This is in response to the return of RevShark).....

Well, www.govexec.com shows the following for MTD for October (as of 27 Oct 2006 close):

G Fund: 0.43%
F Fund: 0.36%
C Fund: 3.27%
S Fund: 4.87%
I Fund: 4.27%
L 2040: 3.28%
L 2030: 2.94%
L 2020: 2.51%
L 2010: 1.79%
L Income: 0.96%

So, bottom line, his MTD has only topped the G and F fund, not that impressive for a paid service, wouldn't you say?!?!?!?! Even the L funds are WAY ahead of those returns (monthly only).....

Cut us some slack Eagle. The service is beating all funds but the I fund, including the L-funds, since it started. Pretty impressive for a pay service (wouldn't you say? ;))

If you are expecting to beat every fund every month, I think you are looking for Miss Cleo's Psychic Hotline. Although she charges more.

Month to month numbers are practically useless. You really need longer term numbers for evaluation. It is fair to question the service one has paid for but you must judge appropriately. As Tom pointed out, big picture, Rev has done very nicely.

Just wanted to get a feel of the opinion on that!!! :) Not really trying to stir the waters, OK////// :)

The YTD does look good.........Just wanted to see what the 'short-term' market folks thought!!!!

I am with you right now, Tom, in thinking the markets are due a pullback of some sort, I have been doing a 100% stock, down to a 65% stock (about 2 weeks ago, down to a 35% stock a week ago, to pure G fund as of last Friday, looked good for a day, but who knows what today holds.....I am going to call the Psychic Hotline and see what they have to say!!! :D

Peace, EA
