I retired in 2007 and rolled my TSP into a Roth IRA annuity in 2011. The worst mistake I have ever made. I was doing alright with TSP by myself but thought getting professional assistance would make it work better. Is there any way whatsoever that I can get reinstated to TSP? I will be glad to pay the penalty to break the annuity contract and pay income tax, if necessary, to return to TSP. Thank you.

Hi Tex,
Don't know if there is a way to get back into the TSP. I personnally would prefer to be in a 401K type of account that allows you more choices (other than index funds) and gives you more IFTs (currently two unless going to the G fund) and will allow you to trade out or in up to the close of business days (like all the mutual funds).:nuts:

That is my (Ron 55's) plan as well...several good companies that allow frequent trades with no or minimal fees. You may be able to simply lateral the funds into one of these companies. What throw me is the phrase you used "annuity contract". If you have been receiving annuity payments via a roth investment you will be looking at a big loss if you break the contact.
