how does the dow and nasdq end up green but the S loses a nickel?? and I am beginning to wonder if the F fund is ever worth having....:?

That's easy - it's called selective buying or perhaps a rolling sector correction. There were actually more stocks down today than up. With a 43 point Dow I should have gains today - but more than likely I gave back instead. That's the nature of the beast - no humility or free pass to go.
