Semiconductors lead the way!!!

The semis usually lead the market up and down. They are breaking down now on heavy volume. Look at some of the semi stocks . I think the market is heading lower for now. Throw in the summer doldrums, geopolitical situation, interest rates etc...

I'm now 100% G fund (too much risk out there compared to upside potential for me)

Welcome, fuzzduzz.

I know that was true for part of 2003, but is that always the case, now that industry groups/market sectors have changed?

I wouldn't say it's 100% always the case but it's been happening for quite sometime and I've seen nothing yet to change my mind.

I read an article in thestreet.com about semiconductors looking to be bottoming technically. That would be nice because I agree, as go the semis, so goes the market.

I couldn't agree more. But if you look at some of the semi stocks they don't seem to be bottoming out to me. (I hope your right!)

Look at the (smh, nvls and klac) after breaking down for awhile they tried to move up. Once they barely broke their 50 day ema they turned right down again. Not alot of momo behind the move. I don't think the big boys participated. They look awful to me. :(

My NTE dumped a while ago and I was too stupid to unload it. :X THAT WAS MY ONCE!:)

What about Marvell? That's pretty much a staple, ya?

Marvell (mrvl) ??? This stock is very volitile. I would trade this stock as apposed to buying and holding for awhile. It's latest run up has been on lighter volume. First warning sign. If it breaks it's 13 ema on heavy volume I'd say bye bye. Good luck if you own it.

No, I do not own it directly, but it is in a lot of funds. I just wondered if that was one you used as a litmus test.
