Not trying to make a political thread here by any means, but the Russian vaccine was laughed at when announced. Despite the happy sunshine attitude from the cheerleaders that "we're all in this together", we're not. It's an arms race. Right now, Russia has a leg up.

Russia’s “Sputnik-V” COVID-19 vaccine produced an antibody response in all participants in early-stage trials, according to results published on Friday by The Lancet medical journal that were hailed by Moscow as an answer to its critics.

Without seeing all the test results and information would you take that shot if offered? Not me.

The point was more macro in scale than on an individual basis. What happens if Russia develops a vaccine first?

Even if I saw the test or trial results, anything beyond the Abstract and Summary in most studies is foreign to me.

The beauty is that is what all the Russian "volunteers" are for. All military personnel will be mandatory vaccination.
