Rep Mark Souder

Well first I agree with VLM in that all of us have weaknesses and to some degree I guess we should somehow be able to have some compassion and understanding.

That said -- this is how I see it.

This guy had a profession -- a position -- that wholly held him to the highest standards. As a 'Politician' he is heralding 'Abstinance' and apparently promoting very 'Conservative' and appropriate issues.

An aide - happens along - as part of his profession and he uses his power and 'elected position' to take advantage of her. So there is no doubt he lost his ability to maintain 'integrity' and screws around over and over. As long as no one knows - it's not a problem. :mad:

Now I'm going to tell you -- what really makes me mad :mad: and what infuriates me more than anything else is watching this clown on the news. SAYING:

He did nothing wrong and if anyone would even remotely look at the facts and details he would be 'exhonorated'. What kind of horse rahm is that -- and how in the world could he even make a statement like that ??? When it's so obvious what he did is now known to everyone and he resigned 'Not for his Family' - but to put a lid on this as fast as he can.

So for me the moral of this story is: If you want any kind of compassion or understanding from me -- then owe up to what you're done and be willing to accept the consequences -- but to say that kind of crap makes you less than dirt in my eyes.

So I guess that's a weakness I have. :rolleyes::embarrest:

Wow,

1. Had an affair
2. Was one of only 32 House Republicans who voted for the 2008 bailout of domestic automobile companies
3. Lied to his constituents

Not a representative of my Conservative Values.

His resignation should have been immediate!:mad:
No one is immune from the temptation of the flesh. Many are simply better at resisting temptation than others.

Very decent resignation speech on C-SPAN.

Resigns effective friday.
