Oil and Asia stocks drop as US-China tensions flare again
Asia-Pacific stocks sold off as renewed US-China trade tension added to coronavirus concerns, while oil prices tumbled as traders fretted over rapidly filling global storage capacity. Markets in Japan and mainland China were shut for holidays. West Texas Intermediate, the US marker, fell 7.6 per cent to $18.27 in early Asia trading a barrel while Brent crude, the international benchmark, dropped 2.8 per cent to $25.70.
