well that was interesting. forgot to change my tracker account to match where I moved my money into the G fund (left it in S fund) during first two weeks of January; two weeks later its -3% for the month. Ouch!!! no way to correct that either. the tracker will now be wrong for the rest of the year; because I forgot to change it.
So this month am just trying to make sure I go in a positive direction and make sure I put the tracker entry in, on the same day I move my actual TSP.
Am trying to understand why last year I thought I was making over 10% for the year (via tracker, and via year-to-date on TSP tool), and ended up only 4% in reality for gains for the year. Lost a large percentage by following the transfer recommendations of one of the premium services. Sure its no worse than a G fund for gains that year, but still much worse than stocks; if I have just put everything in C fund.
