Offroads account talk

well that was interesting. forgot to change my tracker account to match where I moved my money into the G fund (left it in S fund) during first two weeks of January; two weeks later its -3% for the month. Ouch!!! no way to correct that either. the tracker will now be wrong for the rest of the year; because I forgot to change it.

So this month am just trying to make sure I go in a positive direction and make sure I put the tracker entry in, on the same day I move my actual TSP.

Am trying to understand why last year I thought I was making over 10% for the year (via tracker, and via year-to-date on TSP tool), and ended up only 4% in reality for gains for the year. Lost a large percentage by following the transfer recommendations of one of the premium services. Sure its no worse than a G fund for gains that year, but still much worse than stocks; if I have just put everything in C fund.

Am reviewing the Autotracker results. Its really weird. The monthly autotracker for myself for the month of September looks like maybe a 1% loss; which I am okay with. But the actual TSP account I invested in (S Fund for two to three weeks) had a loss of 5%. This seems more realistic with what happened to my account.

Yes its understood that any Premium service will have bad months, but that is a significant bad drop; that the premium advised to stay in for. Really trying to understand how volatile changes are not being picked up, with immediate advise to jump to G fund.

Also trying to understand why there are no PREMIUM service advice being made to transfer between S fund and C fund ever.
