No Transfers to the G-fund?

Some follow up... The member let me know that the move to the G-fund in question actually did go through after all. So he was given misinformation and it was a false alarm.

Thanks for the feedback on your situations!

Case dismissed -- except for the misinformation given by TSP support. :suspicious:

I got this in an email from one of our members saying the TSP has not been allowing IFTs to the G-fund since Jan 23? Anyone else experience this? I assume we would have heard from others -- unless we are not noticing that it doesn't go through?

According to another lengthy tsp call with a different supervisor this morning they now tell me that all participant transfers to the G fund have been suspended due to the statutory ceiling on the federal debt. They said no one has been able to make a transfer to the G fund since 23 Jan.

I think he was saying he made the transfer successfully, per the website, but it never actually happened. Can you tell if the money in your account is actually in the G-fund now?

I made a transfer to the G Fund a couple of weeks ago and it is showing up in my account as 100% G Fund.

That's good to know. Thanks! Strange how many different answers the TSP support line can give. :suspicious:
