Hello everyone. I just discovered this site recently and it has been an incredible source of information for me. I just put in my transfer request to go 100% G Fund this morning (it should be effective at close of business today.) I just think that we are due for a correction after the fantastic run-up we have had in the market lately. Before that I was 50% C Fund, 50% S Fund. According to Tom's spreadsheet, I am up 17.18% YTD.

With the NASDAQ closed on Tuesday and the NYSE likely following suit, that's too many non-trading days in a row for my liking, especially with all indicators pointing to an end to this incredible run-up, so I'll be practicing my duck-and-cover drills under my desk in the G-Fund.

Depending on how the markets end up today, I wil be up roughly 19.7% for the year. Not too shabby. Happy New Year to all.

The charts were indicating that the S-Fund was oversold and due for a rally, but I am still a little wary and only went 35% S yesterday. Unless things turn around later today, it looks like the charts were right. Oh well, I'll take what I can get. :)

good move Nim..I was looking at that too, but was a little more wary, only went in 20%

I went 30% C, 30% S, 40% I for tomorrow. the EFA is showing the same oversold indicator that the S Fund did yesterday and hopefully the rally in U.S. stocks will move overseas for tomorrow.

We're Number 14! We're Number 14!

Hmmm...that didn't sound as good as I thought it would. :D

If I had committed to my two big decisions last week and gone 100% S and I on Thursday and Friday, I'd have been up over 2.3%. Oh well, 1.33% MTD ain't bad.

Be careful when you go into the land of "what if's", it will drive you nuts. However, reflect on why you didn't do these things - embrace the pain of your mistakes - pain is a great teacher :D .

Last year I went from 20 something to 1, back to 20 something and finally ended up 3rd. Don't rest on your laurels and don't despair from your mistakes. Happy trading.
