Moving on UP

Welcome to the Board Fab1,

Hey it's better late than never to take control of your money and make it work for you. This is a very good place to be and it's all about the TSP. :)

Welcome FAB1! Glad you found us.

Thanks for mentioning the civility on the board. We kind of pride ourselves on that. It's a great bunch of people and you should fit right in.

Make yourself at home and we'll be happy to add you to the autotracker once you meet the qualifications.

Hello Fellows TSPers (if thats what we call ourselves)

Im excited to join this board - I have been reading posts a few days and very impressed with the level of professionality and the civil attitude here (even in the Politics threads!)

TSP member since 1998, start out about 60-40 leaning to the "C" which earned me a nice base fairly quick. By shear dumb luck I parked 100% in the Garage early 2000, avoiding the Great Bear of 2000. Stayed a gov employee long enough to be vested & then in non-duty nearly 4 years.

Returned to duty about 2 years ago but didnt even think about my TSP until recently which has been doing little besides gaining G fund interest
and the one-per AAC. I found I had to figure out how to get back into Account Access - I just had the old PIN but didnt know my Acc # so I requested it be sent to me.

Anyway... on a Google search to get to TSP site I noticed the link to this forum. Checking out the action here, seeing the returns different posters are getting has gotten me stoked to put TSP to work for me so I am glad I found the site. I have increased my allocations to get all the "free" money and planning my first IFT in over 9 years.

I was a late starter in Fed employment, retirement is not that far away so I expect to move rather aggressively rather than the low risk of my first 10 years in TSP. Now I need to get those first ten posts...;)
