The S&P 500 remains near the top of its short and intermediate-term trading channels, and yesterday's 3-point gain was another closing high for the index.

The smalls caps, which were lagging, shot up to finally close above the March highs, many weeks after the S&P and Dow had done so.

Same for the Dow Transportation Index. New intraday and closing high.

The NYSE overbought / oversold indicator has been hanging around the +750 area. Looking back over the last several years, this area has produced some short-term tops, but almost as often we saw market rallies resume.

+750 is definitely overbought, but not quite the extreme +1000 level we see occasionally.
Bonds were down again yesterday, but the two-day pullback has now filled a gap that had been left open back in early April.

Most of the open gaps on this TLT bond chart have been filled, except for the one created after the jobs report announcement last Friday. The 50-day EMA held on Monday so this looks like a good place for a little bounce in bonds.
Thanks for reading! We'll see you tomorrow.
