Military: We Salute You

As a freedom loving person I say you can be whomever you want to be.
And so we bring this thread drift back to the original purpose.

::: raises glass :::

Here's to the men and women of our armed services who have protected our freedoms down through the decades. May we ever honor their sacrifices.

Yes, my humble and sincere thanks to all who have served and who do serve now.

I do not personally agree with the reasons why we went to Iran or why we are still in Afghanistan. But I honor each and every service man and woman who answered the call.

Whenever I see someone in uniform I make it a point to give them my gratitude by making the American Sign Language sign meaning "thank you very much" by putting my right hand over my heart and making a sweeping gesture away from my body and toward them (literally, "from my heart to you") while mouthing the words "thank you."

It is a small gesture but it is the least I can do for these brave men and women. To recognize what they are willing to do for me.

Hey one and all -- There are a lot of things I get really angry with BUT it is NEVER -- EVER -- with the ones who choose to serve their Country and especially to serve with a willingness of honor and sacrifice in WAR or in operations similiar to WAR.

YOU - are what makes 'us' -- all of us -- Great and without YOU we would NOT know the FREEDOM and the good things we do enjoy and know.

I felt the 'honor and sacrifice' even more during this Season -- cause I knew my absense would stand out. It does for each of you !!!

THANK YOU !! AND GOD BLESS !!
