Regular people can't afford to run for office.

And, they are not connected, bought and paid for, or stylish. All requirements for public office at that level.

This is why our congress really doesn't help the average person. Too bad there isn't some type of affirmative action thing where the congress is made up of at least 50% of average joes. Amazing that the regular person votes these people in without realizing they could care less about them.
