Yields broke a long, long descending trend last year so we have to wonder if everything that was normal for the last 35 years will continue to be normal, or will it be different this time?

Higher yields can be an issue for stocks since TINA (There Is No Alternative) is no longer true. But the real issue comes when yields start to fall back down, usually as a result of some kind of economic slowdown, as you see in the charts.
