These first 2 days are the best. Thats where all the upsets take place. There are 16 games each day! Doesn't get any better.

A few upsets already. I doubt that there are many perfect brackets already

Ouch! 19 people (35% of the field) had Michigan State going the whole way. :chairfall:

Did anybody see the Texas A&M / Northern Iowa game? As dramatically as UNI won on Friday with a half court last second basket, they lost in more dramatic fashion on Sunday. I have watched a lot of basketball in my life, and that was the biggest comeback I have ever seen. Down by 12 with 44 seconds left and 10 with about 25 seconds left, A&M came back to win. Epic.

It was fantastic (I'm an alum)! NIU beat the snot out of them for over 39 minutes but then got flustered as A&M swarmed at the end. A&M finally got an edge at the end of the 2nd OT. Those MVC teams always prove to be better than the seed they get.

At the same time Wisconsin was winning a thriller with 2 late 3s vs Xavier. It takes a quick remote trigger to get the best out of March Madness.

I felt sorry for them. Played a great game and made 3 or 4 bad plays in a row in about 60 seconds to let them come back to tie (11-2 run). Just gave it away. A&M can't feel that great about it if they think about it. They didn't win, UNI lost.

A&M knows they were dominated for more than 39 minutes of the game. The key was that A&M has lots of experienced upperclassmen and had lots of experience in turning close games into wins. They had a plan, and took at least 4 inbound steals in those last 44 seconds! They avoided fouling and instead used a smothering defense to force turnovers. That was smart. I've seen it work in the NBA, too. Everything A&M tried in those final seconds worked.

I feel bad for NIU as well. Great team. Just one less mistake and they'd be in the sweet 16.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. I took a shot with Oregon and I see only one other person had the Ducks going the whole way. The way they played yesterday, I see why. If they made the final game and the final winner was anybody but Virginia, I would have won.

I have a lot of opportunities to come in the top 3 but now I believe I have only one slim chance to tie for first (and go to the tie-breaker) and that would be if OK wins it all against NC. But Syracuse would also have to beat VA in today's 3/27 game.

:Flush:
