March 9 Jobs Report

I don't see any estimates on briefing.com yet, but Gallop did their poll and it could be surprise for the market...

Gallup Finds Unemployment Climbing to Nine Percent in February

“The U.S. unemployment rate, as measured by Gallup without seasonal adjustment, is 9.0% in mid-February,” Gallup said in its mid-month unemployment survey, released on February 17. “The mid-month reading normally reflects what the U.S. government reports for the entire month, and is up from 8.3% in mid-January.”

I don't know if it's a February / leap year thing, but February's jobs report comes out on the 2nd Friday in March (according to briefing.com)... Not the typical 1st Friday.

I just checked on briefing.com and they have it as:

Unemployment Rate Feb
Briefing.com Forecast: 8.3%
Briefing.com Consensus: 8.3%
Prior: 8.3%

So from what is being forecast no change. It will be announced on Friday March 09.
