Good day to all, just starting my thread, I am a 20 year federal employee hoping to preserve and grow my tsp, currwently heavy in the "I" with a little "S" thrown in.

I am going to hold in the I Fund for now, hard for a buy and hold guy to move when your down this far, will think about the G if Momma starts dusting off my pizza delivery uniform.

Welcome aboard! Here's the upside, you are just at the right point to start riding this thing up. Whenever that is lol.

Time passes quickly, as when I started out in the TSP ~22 years ago, today seemed a long ways away. Give to your TSP until it hurts, then give 2% more. :D

Good Luck,
Geaux

I just went 100% into the I Fund fully expecting it is the only thing we have considering there is no hard asset fund to resist inflation. I would love to have access to a hard asset fund. Any chance of that ever happening?

I am not up on what a hard asset fund is.. sorry

Moved 100% S for the week being that the i fund has been lagging, (probably a good time to own it now that i am out) watching the sentiment survey, seems since the trades may be limited it may better suit my buy and hold ideas.

Moving the the sidelines for Friday and the Long weekend, it has been a nice couple of days and it cant last forever, will move back to the sentiment survey results friday morning for next week.

G-100%

Nice to see an up day today, am following the sentiment survey but lagging by a couple % due to some catch up plays that didnt work and i have to say I hate fridays.

100% S and holding for the week with the sentiment survey. :)

I Miss having a little diversification in my account so moving 75% S and 25% I for next week hoping that the OSM help me out a little, still dont think i have to worry about winning a monthly prize.

Still holding 75/25 S/I and somehow accidently got in the top 5 for May, sometimes being me isnt that bad. Next stop top 100- I dont want to set my sights to high.

Md

Just when I thought you were on the sidelines, you jump back in. I was looking for an opportunity to get past you - but not now. Well, it's a long year yet. Has any Spring come to your country yet?

Well so far a pretty good year, moving back to the g fund to align with the sentiment survey for next year, its hard to beat the gains it achieves. tried to follow this year with slight deviations and ended up 7 percent behind- we will see how next year works out.
