Almost certain about leaving TSP and moving it all to a Vanguard IRA using instructions per this website:

Someone said to not move all of it and keep a little in TSP but why? Once you move money out you can't move it back into TSP, so what's the point of having anything in TSP once you've made the decision to cut ties? I realize most places don't have the safety of the G fund but in my experience moving money in and out of the C/S/I or whatever into G and trying to time the market for safety never works out and causes extra stress which I don't need in retirement. I'd rather have it in a place that I can't mess with it from day to day and I don't have to deal with TSP's antiquated rules with their noon cut-off time, their crappy web site, etc
So other than the safety of the G fund, what are any drawbacks to leaving TSP? What are any benefits to leaving "Some" amount in TSP? Thanks.
P.S. My wife and I did some comparisons and learned that TSP's costs were higher than Vanguard's (another reason to leave TSP)
