Last Day for October IFT?

That would be effective the same as Monday before noon --- or would count as November.

Someone correct me if I am mistaken.

Never mind, just found the answer at TSP.GOV

Guess I should have been more specific. Minnow you are correct. It counts for the month in which TSP processes it. For Today after noon EST it would be the same as Monday before noon. That is a November trade.

Thanks for the reply - I shoulda looked on the TSP site before posting.

Thanks guys. I bailed to 100G before noon. That 10% day on the 28th looks too skinny to build on.

I thought about exiting today...but....two things kept me in. First, I want to be in on Wednesday for a McCain upset (10% gain:D), second, I wanted to be in as we move into November so I would have the option of getting out and back-in vs. getting in then out.

What McCain upset?? :)

Why attempt to predict the future when you can simply react to the market? Right now, stocks are dropping, so why be in them? Or, even easier, find a newsletter that simply reacts to the market. Let them do the work for you. I'm sure there are a few good ones out there. I've recently started following peaceful gains, and, though it's very new at this point, I'm happy / intrigued by what I am seeing.

I was joking about McCain.

Predicting the market is what I try to do. It's the only way you'll make money unless your a buy & hold type of investor. I never want to be in a position where I'm reacting to developments in the market, then I'm already behind. I try to stay ahead. I read and study everything I feel is important to my investment.

Yes stocks are dropping. Most everyone would love not to be in the market right now but as humans we miscalculate often. (Where were you on October 1st?:notrust:) Writers of newsletters are/can be wrong. I can show you hundreds of newsletters where the author is wrong on market calls. Some are right. I fail to see your point. If you think paying for a newsletter and following their advice will keep you from losing money, you will find out shortly that you have misplaced your judgment. No one is right 100% of the time. Plus your so call newsletter will be predicting future market behavior, not reacting.

I love doing the work. It's call education. If your not willing to learn, I hate to say that you will probably find this website very boring. Almost everyone here is trying to educate themselves with as much information as they can obtain about personal financing. Many intelligent people contribute to this site to help the many. This site is fantastic!

Save your spam for someone else. I'm not interested in following anyone or any newsletter.

Hope you do well,

Jeff
