Hey,

I've only been in the federal government for 5 years. Still learning how to properly play around with the TSP investments. I think I'm going to first test the seasonal strategy with a strong priority on buy low sell high. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. I love being able to see how others are handling their investments. Even though it's a fantasy game, it has real world potential. Glad I found this site!

It's a good site. You'll really get to know the game when you buy some stocks outside of TSP.

Yeah I tried actual stocks when i was 20yrs old and lost a lot. I was uneducated about it, buying with emotion, and selling when scared instead of holding long and waiting for rebound. Long story short, the buys were actually good but i took the short term loss and stopped cold turkey. Here I am now, lessons learned, more educated, and glad to see the resources available here to test my new ideas.

Federal Budget signed through end of September, though QE remains to affect markets. 100% S.

Earnings reports falling short on retailers is concerning, and consumers not spending as much as everyone thought? Where did all these gains come from? Could QE affect the market this much? We'll see, but I plan to be out of S and in G 100% by March when Fed adjusts rate of QE.

In the mean time:
Waiting for JCP stock dilution to avoid bankruptcy or additional store closures before I buy into their recovery. The store has been around for 30+ years, through mulitple recessions. I don't see them completely backing out anytime soon.
