I am just starting out with TSPtalk. So far I really enjoy all the forums and research being done. I hope more would look into this. What do I need to do to best utilize this website? I look forward to contributing anything I can. I have a private stock account and a TSP account as well and must say I am guilty of having everything allocated to L2030. Employed with a federal LEA.

Thank you

Welcome gooster! Lurk for a while if you haven't already, and see how much you would like to get involved.

If you want to participate in the boards, you should set up your Account Talk to discuss your ideas. If you plan to actively manage your account, you might want to set up your AutoTracker account to compare your moves to others on the site.

Nothing wrong with the Lifecycle Funds if that meets your risk and involvement objectives. Though it is true that most of the active people on these boards also actively manage their accounts. There is no right or wrong way....only what's right for you. And there are obviously lots of people here who love to share what THEY think is the best way.

Enjoy your reading and....Good Luck in your investing!!! :D

Welcome gooster, help spread the word that there are educated people clearly concerned on crossing the retirement line with as much in their nest egg as possible. Set goals and get going...The L Funds are better than the "G" Fund so not a bad start...Good Luck and once again, Welcome!
