Has any body had TSP not process an IFT that you submitted? If so, what recourse is there?

I submitted an IFT on 9/2 and that IFT has not been processed. According to TSP it 'could have' been due to the holiday, and 'should' be processed cob 9/5.

The TSP website used to say that IFTs may take 2 business days to be in effect. But now this is what I read and understand your frustration:
An interfund transfer requested by 12:00 noon eastern time on a business day will generally be processed that night. The new investment percentages can be viewed online the next business day.

As far as recourse, I don't think you can do much. It says "generally," so there is no guarantee made.

I entered mine at 8:17 am on 9/4 and it executed just fine on 9/4 cob.

I don't think you have much recourse, but you can try.

A similar thing happened to me over the New-Year-last-minute-National-Day-of-mourning fiasco. I don't think there is any recourse. Apparently the things that the government does (or doesn't) do no longer requires the approval of the people. Is this "news" to anyone?

Guess it's a case of live and learn. There are no guarantees that our transactions will get processed on the same day.

You could tell them your name is Johnny Depp and they'll probably get right on it or they'll just laugh.

I put in for an ift the day before the rate drop. my account showed 25% in g,c,s,i. it said the same thing the next day. i went back and looked at my acount balance yesterday and it had not gone up the correct amount based on the +/- 3% gains in the csi funds. i called tsp and they said it did not go through. they asked if i had been emailed the notice, and of course had not because i dont fill in that email information when i do ift online. Not at all happy and there is no recourse or accountabilty by tsp for this, at least according to the tsp representative I spoke with. There must be a record of the request in the computer files though.
share your misery, hope they make the same mistake when i make a poor investment decision.
