Major markets in Asia closed lower Tuesday ahead of an earnings report from tech bellwether Cisco Systems (Research), due after the close of U.S. markets. Cisco shares were slightly lower in European trading early Tuesday, with major European markets mixed in late morning.
Treasury prices were little changed, leaving the yield on the 10-year note at the 4.27 percent level reached late Monday. The dollar was slightly lower against both the euro and the yen.
