How Companies Hide Inflation without Raising Price

I don't remember product sizes for the money getting bigger, they may have when competition was driving manufactures to offer more for the money, but I can't recall it happening?

They SAY they offer "bigger size". Of course, you and I know they only do this to jack up the price.

Did you notice the upright Kleenx box is about two inches shorter and you have to pre-start it to get the tissue to reach out of the old decrotive covers.

The biggest heartbreaker for me was a few years back when virtually all ice cream companies scaled back the size of their "half-gallons". The commissary carries Blue Bell, which is not only delicious, but proudly boasts being one of the last brands to serve an actual half-gallon.

Aspartame vs. Splenda: Which Is Worse for You?
Over the last decade or so, evidence has emerged proving that both artificial sweeteners aspartame and Splenda may be bad for your health. Though both were created as sugar substitutes and designed to be more healthy than sugar, aspartame and Splenda both have negative side effects that might make you want to stick to sugar, or try to stop eating and drinking sugar-based products altogether.

Remember when Splenda came out with new packaging with the little notes on the back. Well they cut the amount of powder in each packet. Did you notice you had to use another packet to get the same sweetness. My favorite resturant stopped using splenda because they went throught them at a 1/3 increased rate and they cost more than other sweetners.:(

when they switched the splenda packets my gramma told me she just started slipping four of them in her coin purse instead of three at the early bird buffet.

Did you notice tall kitchen bags are getting shorter and that if you fill you trash bag all the way up it falls off the lip of your can and if you don't notice it you have to search for the sides carefully as to not drop trash inside the can.

Did you know that the flex trash bags use less material. Did you also notice that the only way to strech thim is outside the trash can by filling them with plastic trash bags from other cans.

Did you notice the large rolls of tolet paper now have a bigger hole and it's the roll itself that supports it and not the cardboard insert.. Your getting less tolet paper but it looks like a big roll. Also did you know in public restrooms the tolet paper is not only single ply but you can see through it. Also if your not careful your fingure will go through it. So clean under your fingure nail.:D

Did you notice the increased empty space in a bag of chips, especially the family packs.

Did you notice that a slice of single wraped cheese is thinner and easier to break in half while unwraping it.

Did you notice bread is shorter than before. Now you have to lift the knob to get it out of the toastes.
