I've been wondering. The holidays are just around the corner and seeing as to how we have had a lackluster past 2 years (noone spending) I'm wondering if people will finally just get fed up and decide to open their wallets this year, which in turn could lead to some positive numbers on wall street. This is pure speculation on my part of course but I think as this economic armageddon daily news cycle continues people would eventually become fed up and decide to just throw their hands up and self medicate during this holiday season. I looked for some news about what economists think but came up with nothing which was surprising, figured someone would be talking/speculating about it by now. What do you guys think, silly? maybe? no way? ...Hopefully?:D

I think a lot could depend on the November elections. Gridlock in Washington could be an early Christmas present for the stock market, although I don't know what it would mean for the consumer.

Welcome Holiday...Strange name and location for this topic but hey, welcome anyway:D

Well....It had to start eventually;), better than those commercials on t.v that say ..."It's" christmas in ...JULY"... Haha I hate those commercials! But yeah, here in Dallas the temperature has been hovering around 100 - 107 the past 2 months but all this week it has been like around 90 and let me tell you to go from 107 to 90 FEELS like christmas in August it is, GrrrrreAT! Bring on fall football, and campfire season, whooohooo!

Thanks Buster. I didn't even notice it was in the member's talk forum. I'll move it to the economy forum.
