Hello Newbie and Season Members

Welcome Sunrader......I'm new also (mick504)....joined in July 08; retired in 2006...been in TSP along time. I'm currently living in the Philippines (always hot here) now but lived in Seattle while working. The internet is how I keep up w/the outside world...mainly my friends in the US. I've enjoyed reading the MB and like to learn from others conversations etc. Take Care

My daughter (Captain Buzz) and a number of her close military friends have their TSP set on 75% C and 25% I fund and will probably hold that pattern for several years simply dollar cost averaging all the inherent cycles to come. What a great way to save money. Auto-pilot is a wonderful low stress strategy until one is ready and prepared to be more active in money management.

Sunrader,
My only fear is that you're such a cool dude  others will see me in a lesser light. But that's alright my friend - don't hold back cause you sound like someone we'll all come to appreciate.

It easy to fall into autopilot - and the longer you leave it that way the more inclinded you are to forget. Most of us - including me - are convinced that making periodic adjustments will yeild far greater rewards :D:p and many on the MB clearly prove that.

It's a great place to take a break and have some fun as well. Many around here are deeply genuine and once you get attached you'll never want to leave. Anyway, I think you'll fit in well.

WELCOME

Welcome SunRader !

Are you retired and I'm jealous as hell ?
or
Are you working for peanuts like the majority us?

Anyway, welcome again to the madness. Try to
have some fun on the way to vast riches and
stop by my thread from time to time. ;)

What a wonderful place to get together to share our TSP's experiences with current and retired fellow workers. I had my TSP on autopilot (out of sight/out of mind) over the years and it's about time that I take a more active role in growing this nest egg (o.k. - at least keep up with inflation); I look forward to learning all and when possible share my experience with everyone here. Thanks. :)
