Hamburger Thread

Ha Ha, I remember that too and it didn't even have a musical accompaniment. It must have been the rhythm. Music really does help you remember. I still remember the Preamble from the Constitution Song on Saturday Morning TV.

Code:
We The People
In order to form a more perfect Union
Establish Justice insure domestic Tranquility
Provide for the common defense
Promote the general Welfare and Health
Secure the blessings of Liberty
to ourselves and our Posterity
do ordain and establish this Constitution
for the United States of America
for the United States of America

That's not quite how the actual Preamble goes, so I don't know if they did us a favor or not but that's the version that's still in my head. :)

Except for the doubling up the last line, it is how it goes.

I love that the one about adjectives actually peaked my interest in math when they showed the integral equation and no one in my family knew what it was. Hence, hours of reading (Encyclopedia Brittanica) at my friends house and finding a high school student with a math class did I explain to him what I saw, what it looked like it was doing. He called me, " a pretty smart cookie!" That was all i needed to find a love of math. From an adjective cartoon!

Thanks Schoolhouse Rock!

In N Out makes some darn good burgers! Had a double meat this weekend with some animal style fries. Good stuff.

I miss those!

Based on the link below, McDonald's has the worst tasting hamburger. It appears that America is getting a little gourmet with their tastebuds!

That being said, this thread is for those who wish to disclose or discuss the best thing to do with ground-beef in patty form!

Or maybe post their favorite spot to get a burger!

Pics welcomed!

I thought with a reason to throw some burgers on the grill this weekend, it was well timed!

Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun. All done by memory. :D

Finally went back to post #1 to see what this was really all about. James brags about his details to foreign countries all the time. What does he eat in those countries? What does he eat in the US? What is his solution to all this?
He will turn in all of those GUNS he has!false%20teeth.gif

Yes the ad agency did a good job with that. I too remember it.

I was stationed in SC at the time and there was a contest on the radio to win a big mac if you could say it in two seconds. Nothing against the local citizens at the time but it was a win situation for mcdonalds. Except for us yankee transplants courtesy of the military.

It went something like this: "two awwll beeaf paaties, bzzzt I'm sorry you time is up."

I am embarrassed to admit that McDonald's small hamburgers are still one of my favorites. I ate them as a kid and when in the 10th grade, I believe, I ate 3 of those hamburgers with an orange drink every day for lunch.

I ended up working there when I was 16 and stayed for a few years, off and on while going to school.

I have stopped in the drive thru regularly for 2 or 3 of those burgers since. I'll bet one of the "billions served" is me alone.

He's the kicker. For health reasons, about 4 months ago I decided to get off red meat. I miss them burgers most. I'm off sweets too (over a year now), but the red meat is tougher for me.

Buffalo Wind Wings and Texas Road House also have very good burgers.

Not to suggest that McD's has a 'quality' burger; but to instead to suggest: they have a good tasting burger...loved by the masses:

McDonald's Selling More Than Subway, Wendy's, Burger King, Chick-Fil-A Combined

PS Hate they got rid of the McDLT...a superior burger delivery system.

Actually We usually make our own on the Patio Grill, wish I had a picture but you can only eat one of mine!
Right now I'm eating Fried Cajun style Boudain and over easy eggs so Hamburgers are not on my mind!:D

I will be watching it on TV tomorrow

Ah yes, green chile is one on the things I miss moving away from NM. They just don't know what it is up here -- even when it's on the menu.

My favorite burger ever is at a place outside Santa Fe, NM called Bobcat Bite. It was locally famous when I was in New Mexico now it's kinda world famous thanks to being featured on several TV shows.

It's a green chile cheeseburger that is amazing.

If I can get my hands on some good green chile (kinda hard but not impossible in Florida) then I can make my own on the grill -- they're good but definitely not the same as Bobcat Bite.
