It is very annoying, and they somehow skirt the the do not call regulation.
Most use cell phone prefixes, so you think it's coming from a person. I just ignore numbers not in my contacts...

I'm like RMI and just never answer calls I don't recognize. My son, on the other hand, likes to start speaking to them in a made up gibberish language. Then they are the ones who usually hang up - and probably take him off their list.
