United States should NOT be concerned...LOL.

"The United States should not be concerned," Rafael Ramírez, Venezuela's energy minister, said in an interview. "This expansion in no way means that we will be withdrawing from the North American market for political reasons."

Still, China's voracious economy is an attractive market for Venezuela and other South American energy producers.

"The Chinese are entering without political expectations or demands," said Roger Tissot, an analyst for PFC Energy Group in Washington. "They just say, 'I'm coming here to invest,' and they can invest billions of dollars. And obviously, as a country with billions to invest, they are taken very seriously." Come on we want to bully you around...play with us, LOL.

Can not find the figures now but I believe we "use to get" 20% of our crude from them? Boy gas will be $3.00 a gallon soon...

OK - I am concerned :P:

Venezuela: OPEC does not need to raise output

NEW DELHI - OPEC oil producers do not need to increase production when they meet later this month as the factors pushing oil prices to near-record highs are not related to the cartel, Venezuela President Hugo Chavez said on Friday.

Gallon of gas will be shooting for $2.50 around spring.

The reason for the notraisingof the output, you ask:

(1) They have the tap open to full blast.

(2) They are running out and want to get all they can now.

(3) We, The Borg, can pay $80 a barrel and not even flinch.

So if you actually have a budget plan on higher gas at the pump and home heating and cooling moving forward.

Oh yeah, energy is not computed into the inflation index - so the ecomony is in great shape :P. You should not be concerned.
