Financial Planner Recommendation?

I am in the market for a financial planner who recommends specific stocks. Does anyone use such a person that they have actually had success with?

I feel as though I am the only person who never bought FB, GOOG, AMZN, etc.

I have tried Edward Jones and Suntrust, both just told us to put money into mutual funds that charged large loads and we lost money.

If I ever found an advisor who had doubled my money over 7-8yrs, I would love that person forever. Any suggestions?

I don't know any any planners, but if you own(ed) and stock indices like the S&P 500, Nasdaq, etc., you owned a lot of those companies since they are heavily weighted in the S&P 500.
