Edward Jones Investment Group

Anyone know anything about Edward Jones Investment Group? We are coming into some tax free cash and several funds that need to be rolled over into our name to avoid tax from her ex and don't really know what route to go. No bills so we want it to go toward our retirement in 5 years. Am considering working with Edward Jones. Any thoughts or recommendations other that a cruise and a thank you card to the ex?

Edward Jones is essentially a one person office - so the rep works rather independently and depending how busy he is will determine the amount of hand holding you will enjoy.

Birch is right on this one, I went to look at getting a job there once. It seemed that their philosphy was basically buy alot and hold (mutual funds) forever. Hmmm....Sounds like they're getting advice from Birch.
